- Hey its tough trying to organize yourself, but dont let it freak you out! It happens to the best of us. Try taking a couple deep breathes and relax. We have lives and unfortunately we also have drama, but dont let in come in contact with your scholastics.

Calm Down
- Take a deep breath. You can and will pass this class. Take a short break (like 3 minutes) then dive back into the question. People learn best in 5-minute incriments. Don't procrastinate. But also don't kill yourself studying. YOU CAN DO IT! Get a kick-butt attitude and tough it out. Feel free to cry when it feels nessecary.

- What mass of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is needed to make up 500 cm3 (0.5 dm3) of a 0.5M solution? [mol. wt: NaOH =40] 1 mole of NaOH = 23 + 16 + 1 = 40g molarity = moles / volume, so mol needed = molarity x volume in dm3 mol NaOH needed = 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.25 mol NaOH therefore mass = mol x formula mass = 0.25 x 40 = 10g NaOH required

Period table the musical way
- In my chemistry class we had to learn the first eighteen elements of the periodic table and my teacher taught me to put the symbols to music to help me learn it. Making it a chant was the easiest way to learn for me! I hope it works for others out there.
