Writing, Drawing Doodling for Organic
- I am about to take Organic I again and am reviewing. I pulled out my Org I & II notes to study. I used color-coded ink to categorize reactant and reaction types. It worked 20 years ago and it works today. I have always spent a great deal of time writing notes, then re-writing them so that I can be sure I am keeping classes and categories intact. I doodle or draw something distinctive and during the test, I can close my eyes and see this. I am a visual learner, and this works well for me. I have learned, recently, that the more senses one uses to learn a subject, the better one learns it. I mean that one should use these: Oral (SAY it), Aural, (HEAR it when you say it), Draw it - you will see it over and over, if you can use you tactile (touch) sense in some way, it helps (3-D models), and use your Kinesthetic sense - movement - literally recite while stair-stepping or walking. Believe it or not, IT WORKS! and it's more fun than dry study. Mostly, do equations over and over!

Perfection
- Perfecting Chemistry sounds impossible and I couldn't do it either, but it is very easy to do well and get near perfection. If you get a test back and you have incorrect answers, just go over the topic of the question. This way you can lessen the amount you dont know. Also, I completely agree with studying for a short amount every day so the topic can be fresh in your mind for class the next day.

How to Handle Studying
- I personally go over my notes every day after school for 15-20 minutes. Then, on the day prior to a test, I'll work on practice problems and a practice test. By doing that, I'm not trying to memorize info in one night and actually going over what I already know.

perseverence
- never loose hope while doing this subject ,the future will one time be fine.

Fifteen Minutes
- It helps to study every day after school for fifteen minutes. This reinforces what you learned during the day. Students who aren't used to studying scientifically can't concentrate for more than twenty minutes, so fifteen minutes is generally a safe way to go. And it's MUCH better than cramming everything in the night before a test. Also, it's tempting, but don't play around before you start working. Leave your games, TV, anime, Facebook, etc. for after you finish. Doing such things before a study session will fog your mind and you'll be to distracted to focus. Also, it helps to practice with someone who's serious about the subject, i.e. the teacher, a friend who pays attention in class, or a parent. Don't use the Internet more than you have to. With it comes distraction. Runescape, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. are just a click away. Google your question, print the answer, and get off the web.

do first things first
- don't waste time playing or surfing the net use the best of your time studying especially when the subject is chemistry.... and keep your full concentration to the teacher...and then later write what you have understood when the teacher explained then afterwards you read it over and over...when it's nearly exams you just go through it for one last time

organic chemistry
- to get all d mechanisms right make sure that u practice all d equations & mechanism just like u practice maths. try to understand the polarity between 2 elements try to rectify the reactants. mainly concentrate on chemicals, catalysts becoz their function is definitely specific

LISTENING.
- just listen to the teacher and write very good notes. (:

study tips
- try to apply every chemistry concept in day-to-day life, it will help to understand the concept. avoid discussion with those who have misconcepts.

reinforce skills with chemistry game
- I created a website for my students to use, CHEMGAMETUTOR.COM. It allows students to play a fun game while reinforcing chemistry skills at the same time. Currently you practice working with "Significant Figures" and the "Heating Curve". The site is free to access. Login with username:guest, password: guest. Have Fun.

simplest way.........try it.....
- reading 10 times = writing once writing 10 times = hearing the concept once hearing the concept 10 times = perceiving the concept both with your eyes and ears..... this is the best that i can share with u all!!!!:)

Study Tips
- Read the chapter/topic , understand it and apply it on practice paper. In this way it helps you to remember concepts better.

Do practical whenever possible
- Try doing practical/experiments related to the topic as hands-on experience will make you remember certain facts better (e.g. reaction of Group 1 metals with water, electrolysis of aqueous solutions) -> practical learning

Relate study
- chemistry is a volatile subject especially organic. practice a lot till you master it revise periodically. relate chemistry to every day life & study you will enjoy.
