Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry is the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere. The museum covers almost 14 acres and houses over 35,000 artifacts. This is a place where you can get hands-on experience with science and even conduct experiments and make things. Here is a look at some of what this amazing museum has to offer.
Visitors to the museum can take field trips, plus even if you can't visit the museum, you can still benefit from it! The museum website offers free classroom activities and resources. There is a collection of brain games you can download, too, so you can challenge yourself from the comfort of your own home.
But, if you can, make the trip! This is my favorite science museum. There is so much to see and do. These images barely scratch the surface of what's there. If I lived even remotely close to Chicago, I'd be here all the time!
