Question: What Time Is the SAT Test?

If you're taking the SAT, you'll want to make sure you get to the SAT in time for the test. Here's how you know what time to be at the SAT.

Answer: The time to be at the SAT test center is written on your admission ticket. The time may vary depending on your test center, but usually, the SAT starts at 8:00 am and the ticket requests you be at the test center no later than 7:45 am.

How Long Is the Test?

The SAT takes 3 hours or 180 minutes, excluding the optional essay. However, the are 10 minutes of breaks. You should be done around noon (between 11:40 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.). The essay adds an additional 50 minutes.
