Electromagnetic energy or electromagnetic radiation is light. It's any self-propagating energy that has an electric and magnetic field. You can draw examples of electromagnetic energy from any part of the spectrum. Of course, there is visible light, but you could name many other examples:

  • gamma rays
  • x rays
  • ultraviolet light
  • visible light (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet)
  • infrared light
  • microwaves
  • radio
  • television signals
  • longwave radiation
  • heat
