Duck and Cover Movie
Civil Defense Film for Children

Duck and Cover is a classic 1951 Civil Defense Film in which Bert the Turtle explains to kids what you should do in the event of a nuclear attack. While 'duck and cover' isn't bad, your best bet is to cover yourself with a white shirt or sheet since most of the energy from an atomic bomb is released in the visible portion of the spectrum. If you survive the flash, you want to be somewhere the pressure and heat of the blast won't get you.
