A high school science fair project usually involves an experiment, an invention, or a relatively sophisticated model of a phenomenon. Look at topics addressed by others and ask yourself what questions are left unanswered? How could they be tested? Look for problems in the world around you and try to explain them or solve them.

  • Which type of light bulb is the best in terms of cost? Which is the most friendly to the environment?
  • Are night insects attracted to lamps because of heat or light?
