Definition of Alpha Radiation

Definition: Alpha radiation is ionizing radiation resulting from the decay of radioisotopes where an alpha particle is emitted. This radiation is denoted by the Greek letter α.
Examples:
When Uranium-238 decays into Thorium-234, an alpha particle is produced in the form of alpha radiation.
