Natural Abundance Definition


Definition: Natural abundance is the measure of the average amount of a given isotope naturally occurring on Earth.

Examples: There are two natural isotopes of boron: 10B and 11B. The natural abundance is 19.9% of 10B and 80.1% of 11B.
