I was really impressed by this science kit. The jelly marbles are beautiful and fun just on their own plus the science in the activity kit is well-explained and interesting. The kit is economical, the packaging and shipping from Steve Spangler Science were top-notch, and there were plenty of experiments to keep kids entertained while teaching solid science concepts.

Pros

Guide Review - Jelly Marbles Activity Kit

The Steve Spangler Science Jelly Marbles Activity Kit is a science kit that features water-absorbing polymer balls in a variety of interesting science experiments. My kids spent several days trying out the different projects. My oldest son was particularly enthralled by the Ghost Marble project, which involves hydrating a clear polymer bead in water. The marble is invisible in the water; it looks like a crystal ball when you take it out of the water and set it in your hand. The kids came up with an idea on their own, which involved filling a small inflatable kiddie pool with the invisible jelly marbles. They threw some dyed marbles into the pool, too. The polymer jelly marbles were fascinating.
