mrchemistry asks,

"What is the relationship between the elements atomic numbers and the diameters of their atoms? Why do you think so? The elements are Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba."...

HEMDI answers:

"Atomic radii ( diameter ) of group elements in general increase as increase of atomic number or as agroup is descende becuase electrons are being added to shells farther from the nucleus . so Atomic radii order : Mg < Ca < Sr < Ba atomic number : 12 < 20 < 38 < 56 ...As I know there is no link or relationship between atomic radii sets and atomic numbers"
