Too Much of a Good Thing?
There is some controversy surrounding the use of additives in today's society. On the one hand, additives allow food to be preserved for transport and storage. On the other hand, there may be some negative health effects associated with exposure to certain additives. Are the extra-bright colors and intense flavors needed for food to be good? Does long shelf life contribute to high quality? Are additives added just at the level needed to serve their purpose or are they overused? Voice your opinion of additive use.
