My kids and I love looking at the HearthSong catalog, both online and in printed form. All of our experiences with this company have been positive. The bright colors of the kit caught my eye, but what held my attention was the low price (under $5 at the time of this review) and quick results. While many crystal kits take days or weeks to yield results, this kit promises a full grown crystal garden in just ten hours! All of the materials needed to grow the crystal garden are included. The only drawbacks are the one-use-only aspect (true of most kits) and the short shelf life of the garden (a matter of weeks). Still, at this price, these are hardly disadvantages! Recommended for ages 8 and up, with adult supervision.
