How the Scientific Method Really Works

One of my favorite comic strips is PHD, which documents the um... joys... of graduate school. If you're a graduate student or thinking of becoming one or remember how fun it was being one, you'll probably appreciate the strip as well. They recently ran a strip on how the scientific method works, or at least, how it works when funding is on the line. Here's the comic.
