Copper Sulfate Crystal Apartment

Saturday November 15, 2008
Copper Sulfate Crystals (Stephanb, wikipedia.org)
Do you love crystals enough to coat every surface of your apartment with them? Artist Roger Hoirn sealed a first floor flat and poured ~90,000 liters of hot supersaturated copper sulfate solution into the apartment. Did the technique work? Judge for yourself! I found one youtube video that shows a child in the flat and another that sort of pans around the apartment, or if you happen to be in the Elephant & Castle of London, go have a look. You possibly don't want your dwelling to be covered in blue crystals, but you can easily grow some copper sulfate crystals of your own.
