Algae as an Oil Source for Biodiesel

Business Pundit has some interesting things to say about the possibility of using algae to make biodiesel. Apparently some micro-algae contain up to 60% fat, 70% of which can be readily harvested. I do not know whether it is true that only 15,000 square miles of algae ponds would sustain the US’s ground transportation needs, but it is a pretty incredible statistic. Can you say "sustainable industry"? Sounds interesting.
