In addition to having protective eyewear, students were encouraged to wear 'real' shoes and long pants on lab days (as opposed to the flip flops and shorts popular with the beach crowd), tie their hair back, and avoid wearing clothes they couldn't bear to part with in the event of an accident. I, of course, was envisioning fires and students stripping naked in the lab, but he was talking about stains and minor acid spills. I guess the fires are really more of a college thing. Anyway... if you have a young science student and you're looking for an inexpensive option for eye protection, you might want to check out your local dollar and hardware stores.

My experience with the dollar store safety glasses is that the elastic is really low quality and only survives stretching a couple times. So be prepared to replace the elastic.
The man that did the research into apricot seeds, organic, curing cancer if you eat 7 of them per day, I read was arrested, for this information. The cancer institute is made of marble just remember, it is not going anywhere. The medical industry and pharmaceutical companies are dupping people ito thinking that only their synthetic products are life-giving. The Bible states that we are to eat vegetables, fruits and the seeds. Argue with the Bible, but this is true. The compouns in apricot seeds work synergestically to create a perfect formula against cancer. Eating only 7 per day for an adult will prevent cancer and if you have cancer, will cure it according to this man. I do not know his name right off hand.
