  • water
  • baking soda
  • vinegar
  • borax
  • white glue
  • corn starch
  • food coloring
You can do these projects: ... plus many more. The list isn't long enough? That's okay, there's more. I've put together a list of chemicals I keep in my cupboard pretty much just for chemistry projects. Now I'm going through the projects and noting which materials you need to do them. As you can see, it's very easy to explore chemistry and grow crystals at home. Plus it's fun. Chemistry kits had a reputation for being dangerous in the past. This kit uses chemicals you already know and trust in your home, mainly for cooking. It's safe enough for kids, with supervision.
