Are you looking for an alternative to the traditional holiday cooking project? Make your own keepsake metal decoration. You can replace the zinc on galvanized metal with copper to make an attractive holiday ornament. The easiest way to do this is to paint the metal with a copper nitrate solution. Any metal you want to remain silver is covered with masking tape. Once you have the design you want, simply rinse the ornament with water and remove the tape. Show me how...
