Time for Storms

This morning's headlines included news of the latest series of severe storms, which caused deaths in Tennessee. You know, hurricane season is also getting underway. The 'official' start of the season isn't until June 1, but according to NOAA, tropical depressions and storms start forming in the Pacific basin in late May. If you're looking for a weekend project, why not make a storm glass to try to predict changes in your local weather. If you're more interested in preventing severe storms than predicting them, take a look at cloud seeding as a potential solution that involves chemistry.
