Spring Break Activities
Wednesday April 14, 2004
Does your school or your children's school have Spring Break? We're halfway into ours (of course it has been raining) and I'm starting to hear 'I'm bored'. These are my favorite activities. Hey, you can't play video games the entire break, right?
- Baking Soda Invisible Ink - Inexpensive, easy, clean... good for hours of amusement.
- Koolaid Playdough - Actually, I omit the Kool-Aid and add food coloring instead. The playdough will keep for a day or so if refrigerated.
- Make Slime - A great project! The slime will also keep for a few days if refrigerated.
- Baking Soda Volcano - Maybe a bit messy, but a whole lot of fun!
- Epsom Salt Crystals - Unlike most crystal projects, these sparkly crystals grow very quickly. Expect them within several minutes under sunny, hot conditions or within hours if you have to wait for evaporation.
