Some mosquito coils made in certain Asian countries have been found to contain 'S-2' or octachlorodipropyl ether, a potent lung carcinogen. High exposure to the chemical is possible when the coils are burned overnight. Although the chemical is banned for sale in the US and other countries, coils with the chemical have been found in the American market. For more information, read the article at Science Daily News.
